Meet Dr Luke Fisher-Brown BDS BSC(Hons)
Hello, I'm Dr. Luke, and I'm passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate dental care to the communities of Moray and the Highlands.
My journey into dentistry began after completing a degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Newcastle. From there, I moved to London to study dental surgery through the graduate entry program at Bart’s and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. After qualifying, I began my dental career in Essex, where I completed my foundation year and was delighted to be offered a long-term associate position at the same practice.
Over the following eight years, I gained extensive experience in both general and cosmetic dentistry while working across Essex and London. During this time, I continued to build on my knowledge through further training, including a prestigious aesthetics and restorative course with Dr. Chris Ores and an oral surgery mentoring scheme in collaboration with Colchester Hospital.
My growing interest in dental implants led me to complete a certificate in implantology with Professor Eddie Scher in London, followed by a postgraduate diploma in dental implantology at the University of Bristol. In the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of helping many patients restore their confidence and quality of life through a wide range of implant treatments.
In 2023, my partner and I made the wonderful decision to relocate with our young family to the beautiful Moray Firth. Now based at The South Street Dental Practice in Elgin, I provide both general dentistry and implant treatments locally, while still travelling to Essex a few days each month to focus solely on implant care.
I believe in creating a calm, welcoming environment for every patient. My commitment to ongoing education gives me the confidence to deliver high-quality care, and I take great pride in helping people feel comfortable and well looked after at every stage of their treatment.
I look forward to welcoming you to the practice and helping you achieve a healthy, confident smile.

Dental implants are durable, artificial tooth roots placed into the jawbone to securely support replacement teeth. They offer a reliable, long-term solution for restoring missing teeth and are widely used for their natural look, feel, and function.

Dental implants can address a range of dental problems and serve as a versatile solution for various tooth-related issues. Here are some of the common dental problems that dental implants can effectively address:
Missing Teeth: Dental implants are primarily used to replace one or more missing teeth. They provide a stable and natural-looking replacement option that restores both function and aesthetics.
Single Tooth Replacement: When you have a single missing tooth due to decay, injury, or other reasons, a dental implant can be used to replace it without affecting adjacent teeth. This helps maintain the integrity of your natural teeth.
Multiple Teeth Replacement: Dental implants can also be used to replace multiple missing teeth, whether they are adjacent to each other or scattered throughout the mouth. Implants can support dental bridges or individual crowns to restore your smile.
Full Arch or Full Mouth Rehabilitation: For individuals who have lost all or most of their teeth, implant-supported full arch or full mouth restorations can provide a fixed and stable solution. This can involve the placement of multiple implants to support a fixed bridge or denture.
Denture Stabilisation: For those with removable dentures, implants can be used to secure them in place. This prevents slipping, discomfort, and the need for messy denture adhesives, offering a more secure and functional option.
Improved Chewing and Speech: Dental implants restore proper chewing function, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of foods. They also help maintain clear speech by preventing the movement and shifting of replacement teeth.
Bone Preservation: Implants stimulate the jawbone just like natural tooth roots, which helps prevent bone loss. This is particularly important for maintaining facial structure and preventing the “sunken” look that can occur with missing teeth.
Enhanced Confidence and Aesthetics: Dental implants look and feel like natural teeth, providing a boost in confidence and improving overall facial aesthetics. They blend seamlessly with your existing teeth.
Longevity and Durability: Dental implants are known for their durability and longevity. With proper care and maintenance, they can last a lifetime, making them a cost-effective long-term solution.

Dental implants offer several advantages over traditional tooth replacement options like bridges and dentures. Here are six key reasons why many patients choose implants:
1. Natural Appearance:
Implants are crafted to look and feel just like your natural teeth. They’re colour-matched and shaped to blend seamlessly with your smile, helping you feel more confident and comfortable.2. Clear, Confident Speech:
Because implants are securely anchored in the jawbone, there's no slipping or movement—so you can speak clearly without worry, unlike with some removable dentures.3. Superior Comfort:
As a fixed, long-term solution, dental implants don’t require adhesives or removal. This means you can enjoy a more comfortable and hassle-free experience.4. Improved Eating Ability:
Implants function like real teeth, giving you the strength and stability to chew your favourite foods with ease—no slipping, shifting, or dietary limitations.5. Preserved Oral Health:
Unlike bridges, implants don’t rely on neighbouring teeth for support. This helps protect the structure of your remaining natural teeth and supports overall oral health.6. Long-Lasting Solution:
With proper care, dental implants are extremely durable and can last for decades—often a lifetime—making them a smart, long-term investment in your health and wellbeing. -
Local anaesthetic is used to make the procedure entirely comfortable. Some patients may also prefer to have sedation and this can be arranged as required.

We provide a range of dental implant treatments, each carefully tailored to meet your individual needs and restore your smile with confidence:
Single Tooth Replacement: A single dental implant topped with a custom crown to replace one missing tooth with a natural look and feel.
Multiple Teeth Replacement: Implant-supported bridges are used to replace several missing teeth, offering strength and stability without affecting neighbouring teeth.
Full Mouth Implants: Also known as full-arch restoration, this option uses implants to securely support full bridges or dentures, ideal for replacing all teeth in the upper or lower jaw.
